Is this an emergency? Here is how to decide.
When you are unsure, come in. An evaluation costs you an hour; waiting on a serious condition can cost far more.
Come to the ER
- Chest pain, pressure or tightness
- Stroke symptoms: face drooping, arm weakness, slurred speech
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- Severe or worsening abdominal pain
- Head injury, fainting or confusion
- Broken bones or visible deformity
- Deep cuts or bleeding that will not stop
- High fever in an infant, or fever with a stiff neck
- Severe allergic reactions
- Persistent vomiting or signs of dehydration
See your primary doctor instead
- Routine medication refills
- Annual physicals and wellness checks
- Chronic condition management appointments
- Vaccinations scheduled in advance

What to bring
Photo ID, your insurance card, a list of current medications and allergies, and the name of your primary care physician.
