Symptoms to watch for
- Facial pressure or pain around the eyes and cheeks
- Thick nasal discharge
- Congestion that will not clear
- Headache and tooth pain
- Reduced sense of smell
Come to the ER immediately if
- Fever with severe facial pain
- Swelling or redness around the eyes
- Confusion or vision changes
- Symptoms lasting longer than ten days and worsening

Physician examination, imaging when a complication is suspected, prescription antibiotics or steroids, and symptom relief so you can rest.
