Symptoms to watch for
- Face drooping on one side
- Arm weakness or numbness
- Slurred or confused speech
- Sudden severe headache
- Loss of balance or vision changes
Come to the ER immediately if
- Any sudden weakness, numbness or speech change
- The worst headache of your life
- Sudden loss of vision or coordination
- Symptoms that come and go — mini-strokes still need evaluation

Immediate neurological assessment, emergency CT imaging to distinguish clot from bleed, blood pressure and glucose stabilization, and rapid coordination with stroke specialists for advanced intervention.
