Symptoms to watch for
- Redness in one or both eyes
- Itching or a gritty sensation
- Discharge that crusts overnight
- Watery eyes
- Sensitivity to light
Come to the ER immediately if
- Eye pain or vision changes
- Intense redness with severe light sensitivity
- Symptoms following an eye injury
- Swelling around the eye socket
